Born in Indiana & raised in Michigan, Hip-hop artist Joshua Aaron Bowlin a.k.a. Alias is setting the underground on fire! Alias who has been rapping since 1997 draws from a wealth of life experiences, to craft songs that are radio friendly and spirit filled all at the same time. With influences ranging from Lecrae, Out Kast, and Tedashi. Alias is working on his music and a life that reflects Christ on and off stage, believing it is more important to learn how to be a Son of God than anything else. This attitude is reflected on his self produced  Christian rap debut "This Side of Eden". Using a host of flows, Alias possesses an arsenal of skills , being able to make the listener reflect on tracks like "Higher". Alias can also get any crowd moving with the dance inspired "Let's Go". Alias knows what the young listener is going through having faced addiction, abuse, and even church hurts. He has overcome with a mission to motivate and find meaning in yourself through the love of Jesus Christ. You can catch him on the road  and see for yourself that Alias is an "Alias" for one of the best new rappers in this game! Alias quotes "Just because I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a Kingdom builder, I by no means want anyone to get it twisted I am a sinner and a human that desperately needs the loving touch of our graceful God. It is a daily mission of mine to strive to make today better than the last and in doing so encourage others that there is always a hope."

Artists ive been blessed to share the stage with, Cruz, Starchild, Icris, The Legend of Xero, Beacon Light, Toby Mac, Atta Boy, Decypher Down, Nine Lashes, The Devil Wears Prada, Silverline, Awaken, Seargent Avenue, SilverSyde and many many more I cant recall right off hand

Its never a numbers game for me except in this instance since my start in 09 I have had the humbling pleasure to be involved with a ministry that has ushered to date 7134 people towards a relationship with Christ securing their names in the book of life and encourage y'all as you read my testimony to keep that in mind and never ever give up despite your current situations we serve a big God don't place limitations upon Him

Testimony: I did not grow up in the church I grew up in a fatherless home, we moved all over the nation during my youth I recall the feeling of just making new friends and knowing I was going to have to leave them in a few weeks as we moved so much. that left me feeling the need to act out and be the clown or goof ball as the need for acceptance was strong within me, this in my teenage years translated to running with the street gangs in Washington state Seattle area and continuing this path as we moved to Grand Rapids, MI I ran guns drugs and whatever I could flip to make a dollar leaning on my own ability to make cash. I wound up involved in the Meth industry and what started out as a means to make easy cash in large amounts rapidly turned into a daily addiction that consumed me from the inside out not only destroying me but also spreading its appetite for destruction to those closest to me. It ruined relationship after relationship and i wouldn't give it up finally after living in the woods for 2 weeks rock bottom not a dime to my name the desire to rise from the ashes of this ruins that had stolen the past 4 years of my life friends and family.  I decided to enlist in the Army and quit cold turkey at the urging of my mother It was during my time with 10TH MTN Infantry that I met Corey Jackson and we would always mess around rapping during our training and off-time, he proceeded to smack me up side the head as he labeled me the white Andre 3000 I still debate the statement but his message he instilled in me was quit playing with this and do something with it. I shrugged it off and little did he or I know at the time what he said the seed that was planted was going to take root 3 years later. He still laughs when we talk and says, "see what would've happened if I didn't box your ears and tell ya to get serious". It was in the service the Army Chaplain introduced me to Jesus though I didn't take wholly to Him he also planted a seed that would later blossom into this relationship I now have with Christ. When I got out of the service I began an unrewarding pursuit in the secular hip-hop arena and slowly as my relationship with Christ began to further develop it became overwhelmingly clear that I couldn't pursue this form of Hip-Hop any more so the artist formerly known as Kronic was laid to rest and the passion to rap and not only rap but utilize my music to inspire young and old alike to live enriched lives and form a relationship with my savior Jesus Christ emerged from the ashes of Kronic.....but what to call my new creation....after much prayer it was given/hit me that at the end of the day all these rap names are is an Alias and by definition an alias is assumed identity, so in that sense it just captured me that Alias is my new assumed artist name much like the new Christian I was was an assumed identity in Christ it just fit. The story will continue to go on as long as God grants me air to breath and lungs to process that air this Life is a learning experience the moment I stop growing and learning fret not for I am with the Father, mourn me not but instead celebrate my life and the moments we shared, be inspired to win souls for the Kingdom of Heaven God speed fam 1 <3 Alias
