DANNY FROZE

Daniel Harris, better known by his stage name DannyFroze, was born on March 11, 1991. Danny is the 6th of 7 siblings. He was born in Chicago, Il; however, his family relocated to the south suburbs of Chicago to avoid the violence of the city. From the day he was born, God blessed Danny with many gifts such as drawing, athleticism, cutting hair, and music. He began rapping at the age of 14. While in high school, he and two of his closest friends Reggie Byrd and Maral Corbett founded their group Krank It Up Boyz making secular hip hop music. In 2010, the success of their single “Levis”, which hit the Chicago radio station 107.5 WGCI, is what prompted the boys to take their music career seriously. By this time, Danny was a freshman in college, playing as a starter on the football team. He chose to drop out of college and make his dream come to fruition.

A year later, Froze found out that his longtime girlfriend was pregnant and they were expecting a daughter. He knew he had to make something happen to be able to provide for his family. After a lot of thought, in October of 2011, the group and their manager decided to pack up and move to Atlanta, GA to expand their business. There they changed their name to Crazy Gang Society (CGS). Being that they went down to Atlanta blind, now knowing anybody or anything about the city, it wasn’t long before the other 2 members of the group as well as Danny’s manager moved back to Chicago. Danny decided to stay in Atlanta and make his own way. Down in Atl with only himself to depend on, he struggled even going through a period of homelessness. He worked as a barber and met A-Rod who he became great friends with through his struggle. He eventually made many connects in Atlanta, working with producers who were mixing music for some of the biggest names in the rap game. He even got his groups music even featured on mixtapes hosted by Mike Epps and Gregg Streats. CGS was getting a lot of buzz in the streets, and was well on their way to super stardom, but Danny felt in his spirit that God was calling him to let go of the type of music he was making and follow Christ. It was one of the hardest decisions he had to make, but a series of events and confirmations led to him surrendering his life to Christ, and letting God take the wheel to his destiny.

DannyFroze is now a solo artist with the mission of spreading the gospel of Christ through his music and winning souls for the kingdom. He has let go of his old lifestyle and is excited and ready to see what the Lord has in store for him. This is only the beginning.
